On 11 February, the Citizens4Water platform was officially launched during an international webinar hosted by UNESCO IHP and Scivil.

The webinar opened with welcome words from Koen Verbist (UNESCO IHP), Gert Verreet (Government of Flanders), and Uta Wehn (IHE Delft), followed by an introduction to the platform by Karen Verstraelen (Scivil).  

The core of the webinar featured fourteen citizen science project pitches from around the world, presented across three themes: scientific data collection, community awareness, and education.
