How to submit your project?


Citizens4Water creates an overview of projects on citizen science and water worldwide. Are you working on a project that should be part of the repository? Don't hesitate and submit your project. To do this, please follow these steps:

  1. Sign up through the 'login' button on the top right. This will take you to the account page of UNESCO IHP-WINS to create an account. Don't worry, once you created an account there you can come back to www.citizens4water.org and login with these credentials.
  2. Once logged in, click the 'new submission' button on the top right.
  3. Select 'Project'
  4. Fill out the form. Note that there are multiple pages, click 'next' to continue on the next page. Please fill out all the information you would like to share with the community, most questions are however not compulsary. The form will take 5-10 minutes to complete.
  5. Click 'finish' to submit

After submitting your project, the Citizens4Water team will review your submission and you will be notified by email once your project has been accepted. To read more about the criteria for projects, see the bottom of this page.

Projects can be included in the repository if they meet the following criteria:

  1. The project concerns (an aspect of) fresh water as one of its research topics. This can be with regards to hydrology or water management.
  2. The project is a citizen science project, involving citizens in scientific research. To read more on citizen science, please consult the 10 principles of Citizen Science by ECSA (the European Citizen Science Association).
