Source International
Source International is a nonprofit organization founded in Italy in 2012 with the aim of filling a structural gap: the lack of independent scientific evidence to support communities affected by industrial pollution and mining activities. The idea stems from the direct experience of our founder, Flaviano Bianchini, who realized how often reports of environmental damage go unheard not because of the severity of the case, but because of a lack of solid, verifiable, and actionable data within legal and institutional frameworks.
From the beginning, we chose to work at the communities' request, providing free technical and scientific assistance and building long-term strategies based on environmental monitoring, legal analysis, and local training. Our goal is to generate independent knowledge that can be used to achieve concrete change: sanctions, regulatory reform, compensation, cleanups, and official recognition of environmental and health emergencies.
